Ronald Baptist has twenty-two years of experience treating emotional/behavioral health issues. He is trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and a trauma therapist specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Therapy).
Mr. Baptist works with individuals, couples, families, and groups using both brief problem solving approaches, or longer in depth processes. Mr. Baptist sees children from age twelve and up, adolescents, and adults. He runs various groups including; adolescent issues, anger management, grief and loss, and parenting.
Mr. Baptist has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from The University of Colorado. He is licensed by the State of Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is recognized as “Certified Practitioner” by EMDRIA – dealing with many types of trauma issues including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Having worked in the helping professions in various agencies for over 15 years and practicing privately for over 30 years, Gary has a wealth of knowledge and experience in working with individuals, couples, families, and children. In addition to being recognized as a expert in the field of child abuse, Gary is often called upon to work with and give training in the areas of blended families, single parent families, foster parenting, and adoptions. Gary has appeared on a number of radio talk shows addressing the issues of parenting, marriage, the blended family and child custody.
Mr. Gossage has very personal experience in dealing with serious health issues as he cared for his spouse who fought cancer for 10 years before her passing and dealt with the resulting grief issues with his four children.
Mr. Gossage has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Metropolitan State University and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver. He is licensed by the State of Colorado as a Clinical Social Worker. He is certified as a Level II EMDR Practitioner – dealing with many types of trauma issues including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Helping couples and families deal with issues from a Biblical perspective is something Mr. Gossage has done for many years for persons who desire this type of help. He has authored a handbook entitled Child Abuse in the Church which has been used by many pastors and clergy in the Pikes Peak region. Persons of faith and those who do not desire this type of help feel equally comfortable working with Gary.
